Women, Business, and the Law

The Law and International Development Society, Harvard Association for Law and Business, the Women’s Law Association, the Center on the Legal Profession, and Harvard Students for Rule of Law welcome Nayda Almodovar-Reteguis from the World Bank to present the newest findings of the Women, Business and the Law survey. Professor Katrin Kuhlmann will moderate the Q&A.

About Women, Business and the Law 2018:

Women, Business and the Law measures how laws, regulations and institutions differentiate between women and men in ways that may affect women’s incentives or capacity to work or to set up and run a business. It provides data on legal and regulatory barriers to women’s entrepreneurship and employment in 189 economies, covering seven areas: accessing institutions, using property, getting a job, providing incentives to work, going to court, building credit and protecting women from violence.
