Caroline Potoppidan, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Maersk, joins Harvard Law School Center on the Legal Profession Advisory Board

CAMBRIDGE, MA — The Harvard Law School Center on the Legal Profession (Center) today announced the appointment of Caroline Pontoppidan, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Maersk, to the Center’s Advisory Board, effective February 1, 2024. The Center’s Advisory Board consists of leading lawyers from across the profession and around the world, including some of the world’s top chief executives, law firm managing partners, general counsels, and others who believe in the Center’s mission.
“I am extremely pleased to welcome Caroline Pontoppidan to the group of senior leaders from across the profession and around the world who serve on the Harvard Law School Center on the Legal Profession’s Advisory Board,” said David B. Wilkins, the Center’s faculty director. “Caroline’s experience leading legal and corporate affairs at Maersk, one of the most important companies linking together global commerce, gives her a unique perspective on the critical issues facing our profession and our world. I look forward to introducing Caroline to the rest of the board, and to the benefit of her deep insight and wise counsel for many years to come.”
Caroline Pontoppidan said upon the announcement of her appointment to the Center’s Advisory Board, “I am honored to join the Advisory Board of Harvard Law School Center. About Caroline Pontoppidan
Caroline Pontoppidan has been with Maersk since 2013. As of October 2016, she has been appointed to the position of GC and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer. Prior to joining Maersk, Caroline Pontoppidan was an equity partner at Danish law firm Kromann Reumert. At Maersk, she has held the positions of General Counsel (2013-2016), and Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Head of Corporate Affairs (2016-2023).
