Monetizing Legal Assets

During this session on day 2 of the Harvard Association Law & Business conference, we will highlight investment strategies centered on legal assets, including litigation finance, funding tariff-refund claims, and capital infusions into law firms via debt or equity. This discussion will explore the broader theme of monetizing legal assets, challenging the conventional assumption that legal items on the balance sheet function only as liabilities. The panel will also consider growing private equity interest in direct investment in law firms.
