Student Fellow, HLS Center on the Legal Profession (2025-2026)

David Wong is an LLM student at Harvard Law School. His research interests cover not only private law, including corporate and bankruptcy law, but also the current and future outlook of the legal profession. His current research at the Center on the Legal Profession explores the role of regulatory bodies in promoting gender diversity in the legal profession in Asia, including Singapore, Hong Kong, China, South Korea, and Japan. In doing so, he hopes to foster a greater understanding of the legal profession and culture of East Asia in the U.S. He also holds a research interest in the role of AI in both the West and in Asia in changing the landscape of the legal profession, as well as the career paths of Harvard Law School graduates of Chinese descent in the U.S. 

Prior to joining Harvard Law School, David obtained a BCL at Oxford and an LLB at the University of Hong Kong. He ranked first in the Class of 2023 HKU law cohort and obtained various scholarships and prizes over the course of his studies.
