Assistant Professor of International Studies and Wick Cary Professor of Brazilian Studies at the University of Oklahoma Fabio de Sa e Silva wrote a piece for Law.com International titled, “Lula’s Victory in Brazil Would Be Great News for Lawyers and Foreign Investors,” ahead of Brazil’s elections. In the article, he writes, “With only a few days left for the first round of voting for the country’s next president, however, the “third way” prophecy has not been fulfilled, and the contest is clearly between Bolsonaro and Lula da Silva. And against what may be their conventional wisdom, it is Lula that investors and lawyers must root for.”
